Minibooks are always perfect for single themed projects. Food photos can be colourful and busy so I chose a mostly black & white colour-scheme for this project I'm not in a hurry to finish this project - I'm about half way. This is one of those projects that I pull out now and then and add to and really enjoy playing with.

I would set myself up on our dining table while my daughter slept and make pages - some good, some bad I mostly make digital pages and photo-book projects in a minimalist style, but enjoy doing some hybrid projects (mainly because I still have a healthy letter sticker habit). random ridiculous thoughts and silly stories that don't really fit the aesthetic of my family photobook project for 2018 (which is a more traditional 'Project Life' style of chronological photos and a weekly journaled Some pages I had saved digitally and others I had to make from scratch but the whole project is simplistic

I know a lot of people don't work on their projects daily and even wait until later in the year but after doing this project for ten years, working on these pages every night has become part of my Christmas

So what do you do when you are up to your eyeballs in scrapbooking projects? I only recently learned about commonplace books from Kristin at the Awesome Ladies Project, who then , family oriented Project Life. This is exactly the project I needed. There are no rules for this project, anything goes.

I made each page in Photoshop Elements as a 5x8 then I set each page in Blurb as a full page photo. I've got a set up post (HERE).

I had made a lot of 6x8 projects over the years - a couple of December Daily albums, some photo books and Project Life one year - and the albums can be hard to find. day-to-day scrapbook pages that size until I saw Ali doing that in her class content, it just seemed more a project
